Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right priceand no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can't pull it off alone. A convict with a thirst for revenge .A sharpshooter who can't walk away from a wager. A runaway with a privileged past. A spy known as the Wraith. A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums. A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.
Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist. Kaz's crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destructionif they don't kill each other first. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo returns to the breathtaking world of the Grishaverse in this unforgettable tale about the opportunityand the adventureof a lifetime.
Leigh again brings us in the marvelous Grishaverse, but know we see a completely different city, with gambling, gangs and criminals and everything is really dark and moody and then we see Fjerda, with the ice and snow. The ice really doesn’t forgive and you realize how hard it is for the people who live, but they also love this climate and their conservative Lifestyle.
We meet six completely new, diverse and interesting character and I think everyone has a favorite (mine is Inej) but the others are still so special and understand them and love their actions. Also we get 6 different POV’s which I love.
Inej Ghafa: She is a Suli Acrobat, also known as the Wraith, who spies for the Dregs and knows everybody’s secret. Also she is an excellent fighter with her daggers. Also she is the moral compass under a group of criminals.
Kaz Brekker: He is the Leutnant of the Dregs, who does everything for the right price. His genius mind creates all the dirty plans they follow. His sarcastic additute is addictive
Jesper Fahey: He is the sharpshooter of the group, who has immense depts cause of his gambling addiction. He also has the best sense of humor and makes you just burst out laughing.
Nina Zenik: Was an solider in the second arm cause of her Heartrender abilities. She is really confident and always hypes everyone up also her friendship with Inej is amazing.
Matthias Helvar: He was originally a Drüskelle so he hunted Grisha like Nina, but because of her he sat 1 year in a cruel prison in Ketterdam. He is very conservative and wants to follow the strict Drüskelle rules.
Wylan van Eck: he is the son of a rich Merchant, but on mysteries circumstances he ran away from home and now makes his money with building bombs for the Dregs.
The plot is just amazing, we get a dangerous heist, with one of the most crazy plans of all time. Something goes wrong and immediately there is a second and third and forth plan, with crazy plot twist you couldn’t see coming. It’s simply amazing
I have read other books from Leigh Bardugo and you can clearly see how her style improved and got better and better. There are so many quotes, really I have written over 250 just from this duoligy it is amazing and it really brings you to think about so many things.
