Review in a sentence: One book after Marie Lu clearly becomes one of my favorite author's, if the books I haven't read from her are nearly as good, shocking, emotional as this one.
Author: Marie Lu
Goodreads Review: 4.14 (April 2021)
Genre: Science Fiction/Fantasy
Science Fiction normally isn't my favorite story, especially when a big plot point is Hacking and video games, where I am really not interested in and don't really know much about it. In this book I was really wrong, Emikas Hacker ability's are astonishing and I am really jealous that I can't do that. She's such an amazing character I deeply could connect, even we had nothing in common, I didn't even look like her, but her inner thoughts and the high moral codex made her more than just words. Also her romance was so cute and I hope it goes on in book two, cause I love Hideo. The best part was still the plot twists and how they really developed and how much sense they made. I spoiled myself completely so I knew already the biggest part of it and I was still completely shocked and couldn't believe my eyes that that actually happened. I need to read the second book and see how all this develops and comes to an end. I just hope it isn't as sad as Young elites and Legend, cause I can't handle that.
