We Were Liars is a modern, sophisticated suspense novel from New York Times bestselling author, National Book Award finalist, and Printz Award honoree E. Lockhart.
Read it.
And if anyone asks you how it ends, just LIE.
My Opinion:
I Have to admit, i Love books with really rich characters living the dream with all of the Money & Luxury & Priveldge there is and I think this was handele incredebly well, we have this very small world of the island and only the Sinclair are there, but because it is so remote, it is also so special, and crazy and different. It plays in our boring real world, but it seemed so much more special and almost magical. On top of that the characters are amazing, how Cadence handled her loss of memory of that one summer, her sickness and the past summers was amazing. When she told about the early memories with Gat, Mirren and Johnny it felt like we could be there too and find out what happened in this one summer where everything changed and when we finally found out it was so shocking, i still can’t believe it, when you look back everything starts make so much sense. The book will leave you shattered, you will question so much, but it is worth it.
